Welcome to the website dedicated to the construction of the May Family home. Unlike the average residential worksite, one never found a large crew of contractors anywhere in sight. In fact the entire crew from planning, requisition, project management and construction was composed of but our family of four. Our quest began in 1998 with the purchase of a small, but cozy wooded lot. Unfortunately, it contained rampant growth of rose bushes, poison ivy, and other assorted wild things. This web-sight is presented as a pictorial journal of our trials and tribulations as we turned that impassible lot into the home sight that it is today. As you will see from all the pictures, we did everything from digging the basement with a backhoe we rebuilt, to placing the cap on the top of the chimney… and everything in between…
